The role
DeLaval is a global leader in dairy farming solutions, with over 140 years of experience, 4,500 employees, and operations in more than 100 markets. We aim to continue leading the market while supporting farmers in producing high-quality milk and preserving cow health.

As Strategic Initiatives & Market Intelligence Specialist, you will contribute to shaping and executing DeLaval’s strategic agenda. This hands-on, strategic role involves long-term initiatives such as partnerships and M&A, as well as operational projects with immediate impact. You will work closely with senior management to provide actionable insights, develop strategic frameworks, and support executive decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the development and implementation of selected strategic initiatives in cooperation with the relevant line organization’s strategic objectives. Support execution of Strategic Initiatives, including M&A and Partnership activities

• Supporting the development and maintenance of the Strategic Market Intelligence Services. Lead and coordinate strategic projects, managing internal teams to analyze selected initiatives, facilitate workshops, and ensure timely project execution

• Develop strategic frameworks and conduct economic and business analyses independently to support executive decision-making

• Build comprehensive business cases in close collaboration with business leads, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives

• Support implementation of selected internal strategic initiatives, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met. Contribute to the company’s overall strategy process by providing structured market and competitive analyses that inform senior management decisions

• Deliver actionable market insights through ad hoc studies leveraging internal and external data sources. Contribute to regular management and board-level reporting, synthesizing strategic insights and business recommendations

Your profile

We are looking for someone with strong analytical capabilities who thrives in a strategic, data-driven environment and wants to contribute to shaping DeLaval’s future direction. To succeed in this role, we believe you bring the following experience and competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Agriculture, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred, and at least 8 years of relevant experience, ideally in B2B, corporate strategy, or corporate development

• Strong expertise in market research, competitive analysis, strategic planning, and financial analysis

• Proven project management skills and experience in leading cross-functional teams, and ability to translate complex analyses into clear strategic recommendations

• Experience with M&A, investments, or strategic partnerships is a plus

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and financial databases

• Excellent business English, written and verbal
