About the role
As the Nordic Ice Cream Demand Planning Manager, you will take on a critical, senior leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for demand and supply planning across the Nordic markets. This is more than a traditional demand planning role – you are accountable for balancing cash, cost, and service by driving accurate forecasting, strong cross-functional alignment, and successful in-market execution.
You will operate at the center of the business, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience, ensuring alignment across both commercial and operational teams. You will own and develop the demand planning agenda, including the S&OP / IBP process, while continuously improving forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and overall planning performance.
While managing a small number of direct reports, you will lead a broader planning ecosystem of outsourced teams and international stakeholders, playing a key role in enabling efficient, service-driven growth, supporting strategic decisions, and minimizing business waste.
This is a high-impact role where your ability to lead through others, build strong relationships, and create structure in a complex environment will be key to success.
What You’ll Do;
Planning & Forecasting
Own and drive the end-to-end demand and supply planning agenda across the Nordic region
Ensure accurate demand forecasting across short-, mid-, and long-term horizons, leveraging data, AI-driven tools, market intelligence, and cross-functional input
Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, and drive continuous improvements to planning processes
Lead and develop the demand planning component of the S&OP / IBP process
Cross-Functional Alignment & Delivery
Drive alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to improve service levels and business performance
Act as the key link between commercial teams and operational planning, incorporating inputs such as promotions, product launches, and market trends
Collaborate closely with outsourced partners, distributors, and central planning teams to ensure seamless execution
Ensure successful in-market delivery, balancing service, cost, and cash while strengthening cross-functional ways of working
Performance & Leadership
Optimize inventory, service levels, and working capital while managing supply constraints and minimizing business waste
Leverage planning systems and analytics platforms to enable data-driven decision-making
Lead, coach, and develop team members while influencing a broader, indirect stakeholder network
Build capability and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative, and continuously improving planning environment
What you’ll need
We are looking for a strong and collaborative planning leader with a solid understanding of end-to-end demand and supply planning in a complex, cross-functional environment.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field, and bring 5–8 years of experience within demand and/or supply planning, including people management responsibility. Experience from FMCG is highly valued, and you are used to operating in fast-moving, customer-driven environments.
You have strong analytical capabilities and are comfortable working with ERP systems, advanced Excel, and data-driven planning methods, including exposure to AI-driven forecasting. Experience with SAP and/or Kinaxis is a strong advantage. You are fluent in English, with proficiency in a Nordic language considered a plus.
You combine a structured and analytical mindset with a collaborative approach and a strong ability to build relationships across functions. You are confident influencing stakeholders at different levels and thrive in fast-paced environments where you balance multiple priorities while maintaining a clear focus on business impact.
You are an ambitious, resilient, and driven team player who takes ownership, drives improvement, and consistently delivers high-quality results.
